Important Note:

Alpha Delta is not presently set up to design and build custom antennas, or to modify existing antenna models per customer requests. Our HF antennas are tested at a height of 35 ft. in "clear surroundings" in an inverted-V configuration. Flat top dipoles test out just as well. Higher heights can work even better, depending on your operating requirements (DX vs regional, etc.).

We get many questions asking if "we think" an antenna would work if installed differently than the information in our document "Problem Solvers for Wire Antenna Installations". In other words, in odd configurations or not in "clear surroundings", such as attics, close to roof tops, gutters, trees, etc. The answer is, we simply don't know. There are literally an infinite variety of variations to proper installations. Some work and some don't. Variations are the customer responsibility and are on a "trial and error" basis. By policy, we can't state "what we think" because it may not work out in a given case.
